You may or may not have heard of the law of attraction.

The top Google result defines it as “a philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person’s life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcome”.

As you might expect, if you’ve read many of my blogs, I agree.

To a degree,

How we think and the words we use can shape and drive our actions and the results that they produce.

And a change in these thoughts and descriptions can have downstream benefits.

But it’s not automatic.

Our thoughts don’t magically manifest things in our life.

The key to the ‘law’ is ultimately the last six letters.

ACTION.

We can be open to things.

We can think positive thoughts.

We can describe things however we like.

But ultimately, it’s our actual actions that drive the results we experience.

Doing the right thing whilst thinking negatively about it will get better results than doing the wrong thing (or nothing at all) whilst thinking positively.

And sometimes just doing what we know to be the right thing, irrespective of how we’re feeling about doing it at that point………..

Is what then changes how we feel about doing it.

Working out when we “don’t feel like it” / “can’t be @rsed” will make it more likely that we will “feel like it” / “can be @rsed” in the future.

Going out and doing the thing that creates ‘nerves’ and ‘anxiety’ in us will produce the results that stretch our comfort zone.

Alex Hormozi said “You don’t become confident by shouting affirmations in the mirror, but by having a stack of undeniable proof that you are who you say you are”.

Being “open” to doing things will never produce the results that just doing things will.

And the great thing is this isn’t a chicken or egg situation.

We don’t need to change the way we think and talk before we can take action.

And we don’t need to take action before we can change the way we think and talk.

We can just do both (and www.myrise.co.uk/apply will help with both of them – I literally guarantee it”)

Much love,
