There’s been many times over the years where we’ve recommended something to someone that has differed from the government guidelines.

Or maybe from a direct instruction from their doctor.

And we’ve had plenty of occasions where people have questioned “who are they to contradict ……..?”

Other halves saying “Who are you going to listen to? A doctor? Or some guy who lives in a gym?”

######## We let the ‘gym’ bit go 😉 ###########

Now, we have the upmost respect for doctors.

Some of my friends are doctors and I know how hard they work, often for little thanks.

And I would never dream to think I know a fraction of what they do about their areas of expertise.

However, exercise and nutrition are rarely their areas of expertise.

Research shows that the average medical student spends 19.6 hours on nutrition……..

And none on exercise………

Across an entire medical degree.

I’d hope it’s obvious by now that we’ve done a little more than that.

There are, of course, doctors who have additional training and knowledge in nutrition.

But being a doctor in itself is no guarantee of this.

Doctors are also restricted to work within the government guidelines.

Not necessarily a bad thing – there are lots of advantages to that.

But it can take decades for full clinical research to be done and guidelines to change.

We can work off more cutting edge research and developments.

And our own experience.

Just because the clinical studies haven’t been done to show how and why something works, doesn’t mean it doesn’t.

If we see a certain way of earning, drinking, supplementing, training, etc work over……

And over…….

And over again.

Then we’re confident in recommending it even if someone hasn’t funded the studies into it yet.

Don’t get me wrong, doctors and the government guidelines are great at helping people when they are unwell.

But keeping / getting them healthy in the first place?

What’s happened to the nation’s waistline and health over the last few decades should question that.

And guidelines can be ‘influenced’ by, shall we say, ‘pressure’ from various parties with vested interests.

Our only interest is getting our ninjas the best possible results.

That’s how our brand and reputation was built and why people stay with us far longer than they do elsewhere – results!

That’s why we get shortlisted at national awards (we’re going for the win this year).

That’s why we get such amazing feedback and reviews all over the Internet.

Why the club walls are absolutely full of awesome success stories.

If you haven’t found out more about getting these results, the find-out-more meeting is in a few weeks.

It’s the way every one of our success stories got started.

Me: “I know you’re not, but what do you want to be when you’re older?” Jamie: “DINOSAUR” and Matt ‘Would love to be a Professional Dinosaur’ Nicholson
