We’ve mentioned before that we’re not massive fans of the ‘calorie model’.
You know, approaching weight loss as having to burn more calories and / or consume less.
Not to say that it doesn’t work.
If you regularly burn more calories than you consume, you have to lose weight.
Won’t all be fat like.
But that’s a separate point.
Continuing to eat in the same way as you’ve always eaten, but eating less, will work.
But, it will require willpower.
Chances are that, if you’ve been following the standard UK diet and lifestyle, your hormone balance is a bit messed up.
Insulin sensitivity and chronically elevated cortisol are probably putting you in more of a fat storage mode.
Meaning you’re going to have to be hungry a lot to get that fat to start releasing.
You’ll have to force yourself to do the exercise as you’re so low in energy.
You’ll probably be thoroughly miserable most of the time.
Your willpower will be tested to the limit.
But, it’ll work – if you stick to it.
Or…….
You could eat a natural balance of real foods.
Address sleep, stress and hydration.
And allow the body to start functioning like it wants to.
And the fat will start to release more easily.
You won’t be hungry as real food is generally less calorie dense than processed crap.
You’ll feel good too – energy levels up, mood improves.
The ‘calorie bit’ will just, sort of, take care itself.
Appetite will adjust accordingly when not thrown off by confusing signals in the body.
How the body is supposed to do.
Remember, both methods will work if dome properly.
There’s more than one way to skin a cat.
We know which way we prefer though!
