I saw an interesting comment online the other day.

A fellow FitPro talking about a client of theirs.

Whose weight had been yo-yoing for years.

Gaining and losing a number of stone in weight several times over the years.

“They haven’t a clue how to lose weight” said said FitPro.

Which struck me as odd.

They sound like they’re really experienced at losing weight.

Brilliant at it you might say.

They’ve probably lost in the hundreds of pounds.

Losing weight doesn’t seem to be a problem for them.

It’s the keeping it off that is.

And that’s often the way.

It would be an insult to someone’s intelligence to say they didn’t know how to lose weight.

There are finer points and higher return on investment activities, of course.

But if anyone ever tries to sell you their service purely on the “what to do”, I would recommend avoiding.

From our experience, what changes when a person go from yo-yoing weight loss and gain………..

To sustained weight loss, improved health and fitness and then maintenance…………

Is a change in the conversations that are going on in their heads.

A change in the way they describe it all.

From “dieting”, “cutting out XYZ”, “need to”, “should” and “ought to”………….

To just being the way they live their life…………

Because of what it brings to them………..

And what’s important to them!

What we need is not “more experience” at losing weight…………..

It’s “more experience” at changing the way we think about that.

More reps at that.

Much love,
