Getting fitter, slimmer and healthier requires sacrifice.

We’re all for making it is as easy and enjoyable as possible, sure.

But, if we’re not where we want to be, change is required.

It might be some combination of the ‘sacrifices’ of;

– 3 hours of your week to workout

– Saying no to food and drink you actually want

– Time taken in planning and prepping different good choices

– The comfort that comes with our default choices that we’re used to

– Time spent watching Netflix or some other activity that we enjoy

They are sacrifices.

No point pretending otherwise.

But doing the opposite requires sacrifice too.

It might be some combination of the ‘sacrifices’ of;

– The energy levels to live the life you want to live

– Your mood and mental well being

– The physical strength, mobility and endurance to do the things you want to do as well as you want to do them

– The ability to keep up with the kids and / or set them the example you would like to

– Self confidence and a willingness to move outside your comfort zone

All our choices require sacrifice.

Whatever version of you that you will become will require sacrifice.

Telling ourselves otherwise stops us choosing the sacrifices that we’re most happy to make.
