When members cancel, I’ll usually ask them, amongst other things, what else they felt they would have benefited in getting from us.
What was missing for them essentially.
A lot of people will answer with essentially “nothing”.
Saying everything was fine but it’s just a logistical reason that they have to stop.
But do also get feedback about additional things that people felt they would have liked to have got.
And, ironically, in the vast majority of cases those things with things they had access to already.
But weren’t taking.
More help with the food side, meal plans, extra accountability, more check-ins, exercise plans for when they couldn’t make the in-person sessions and so on.
All things we do do (and more).
In a fairly high proportion of cases where people felt they needed something extra, they’d stop using what was there.
And many had gone full ‘head in the sand’.
Not replying to my messages and calls.
Not doing the little things like Touching Base and setting a weekly RISE Plan, which takes seconds acts as a degree of staying engaged.
I’ve been working in the fitness industry for 23 years.
Running RISE for 13.
I’ve put plenty of tools at people’s disposal.
They just need to be willing to pick them up (www.myrise.co.uk/apply for that first ‘pick up’ that many have called “one of the best things I’ve ever done”)
Much love,
