You know what it’s like.

You’re listening to something (or someone).

Or reading.

And something that’s said / written stops you in your tracks.

You, maybe, stop what you’re doing to write it down.

Or just muse over it.

I heard such a thing the other day.

Listening to a podcast.

With a guy called Dr John DeMartini.

“Obstacles aren’t in the way. They are on the way”

Mic.

Drop.

Love it.

Because we all have obstacles.

Challenges.

Frustrations.

Difficulties.

Every single one of us.

Again, especially at the moment.

Sure, some times different people might be facing bigger and harder challenges than at other times.

But to pretend we’re the only one facing challenges does us a disservice.

Reduces our power to deal with them.

They are things ‘on the way’.

Perfectly natural points of slowing down and speeding up on this journey of life.

But they’re not ‘in the way’.

Not insurmountable.

Not impassible.

And, the great news is that many of them we know about.

We’ve faced them before.

Or we can see them coming.

Very little that might challenge us on a daily basis has never happened to us before.

Some, sure.

But not most.

Hopefully, this whole coronavirus situation will teach us all that many of the day to day challenges we faced before are relatively inconsequential in the grand scheme of things,

How can we ‘solve’ these more regular challenges in advance?

When we’re knocked back by an obstacle, how can we approach it differently next time?

How can get past it more quickly and easily each subsequent time?

How can we see them coming better?

Always remember, “Obstacles aren’t in the way. They are on the way”.

Much love,
