I talked him yesterday’s blog about some of the things that we might benefit from changing that we perhaps don’t think apply to us.
Maybe we’ve stayed a little bit “surface level” with what’s not where we’d like it to be.
And the changes that we would benefit from making.
Often part of our reluctance to make some changes is down to perceived loss of ‘freedom’.
These changes feel restrictive.
We tell ourselves that we “like to go with the flow”.
And I get that.
But if the flow is taking us somewhere that we don’t want to go, then maybe it’s worth questioning.
Freedom is a relative concept.
Complete freedom is a pipe dream.
Creating freedom in some areas creates restriction in others.
And vice versa.
An extreme example could be that me being free to walk the streets safely is restricting someone else’s freedom to mug me.
And it’s powerful to remember how much work has had to go into creating the freedoms that we take for granted.
And I think that work is required for all freedoms.
Doing nothing doesn’t create freedom, but erodes it over time.
We have to put time and effort into creating the freedom that comes from having a body that we like to look and feel of.
That has energy levels and endurance that allow us to live the life that we want (www.myrise.co.uk/apply for proven help – Four times top 6 in the UK at the National Fitness Awards – in doing that)
We have to put the time and effort into planning and organising our life so that it pans out in the way we desire.
Things like planning, scheduling, organising, getting to bed earlier, making some changes to the way we eat and doing regular exercise isn’t restricting our freedom……..
It’s creating it.
Much love,
