Over the last few days, I’ve mentioned that I’ve lost a stone or so of weight recently, and I’ve been focusing on various weight loss strategies to reach my goal.
My intention is to get back under 90 kilos as a minimum.
Experience has shown me that being over that weight involves me having more body fat than I like having.
I may end up going a bit lower, but 90 kilos feels like a nice round number to aim for.
And then, going forward, that will be my new ‘line in the sand’.
If I’m under 90 kilos, I’ll just eat fairly normally.
If I’m over 90 kilos, then I’ll reduce my food in the week considerably until I’m back under there.
It feels pretty straightforward and something I’m likely to continue with.
We all have similar things in different areas of our life—standards that we have set beyond which we’re not okay with going or that act as a wake-up call that we need to make some changes.
We can just choose to set some with our health and fitness as well.
A weight on the scales, a body fat percentage, or some indicator of fitness levels (not getting out of breath going up the stairs is a common one) or whatever else motivates us (if you’re not there on any or all of these, then you definitely will be if you jump in at www.myrise.co.uk/).
Setting ones that are realistic for us and that feel like something that would actually help us.
There’s no right or wrong to these points. Hopefully, this is some food for thought that might help you set some effective ones?
