Who remembers losing something as a kid……. …
And you’d ask your mum if she knew where it was?
“Well, where did you last see it?” she’d, understandably, but somewhat annoyingly, ask.
“If I knew that, I wouldn’t need to ask” you’d think / mutter under your breath.
But……..
Who’s gone on to do the exact same thing with their kids?
I know I have.
Because it’s the obvious first place to look.
As it is for anything you’ve lost.
Nothing more so than motivation.
When we feel that we’re lacking it……..
When we feel it’s something that we’ve “lost”…….
That we “need”………
Then it’s tempting to, essentially, wait for it to come and find us.
To just sit there and hope it’ll be back at some point.
But, we could go out and get it.
Looking, as stands to reason, where we last saw it.
What were we doing the last time we felt motivated?
Where were we?
Who else was there?
If we last felt motivated when we were regularly doing Sessions at RISE……….
And we’re currently not regularly doing Sessions at RISE…………
Then that’s a good place to start looking.

Remember, we didn’t feel motivated before we started, it was when we started.
Motivation is, at best, an “after emotion”.
If we last felt motivated last time we were making better food choices……..
And we’re not currently making better food choices………..
Then that’s where we’re most likely to find that motivation we’ve lost.
Same if it was when we were spending more (or less) time with certain people.
Reading more of these blogs.
Watching more of our videos.
Drinking more water and / or less caffeine or alcohol.
And so on.
That motivation won’t find us.
We have to find it.
And looking in the last place we saw it is the most likely place to find it!
Much love,
