The other week I went to see the new Disney film ‘Christopher Robin’ at Cinemac.
Twas alright.
I was pretty tired though so, perhaps, didn’t enjoy it as much as I could’ve.
There was quote near the end that jumped out at me;
Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) and Winnie the Pooh (computer) have the following exchange;
Pooh: “What day is it?”
Christopher: “Today”
Pooh: “My favourite day”
Which is good.
Because today is all he / we have.
Yesterday has gone.
Tomorrow will never come.
It’s always today.
All we can affect is what’s right in front of us.
It’s fine to celebrate the achievements and learn from the mistakes of the past.
And to plan for and look forward to the future.
But all we can control is what is happening right now.
The exercise, food, drink, sleep, stress management and more decisions as we face them.
Doesn’t mean they always need to be what you might call the ‘best’ choices.
But the more we put it off to that tomorrow that never comes, the less likely we are to get there (wherever ‘there’ is).
If we just concentrate on what’s happening right now………..
And try and make the average of those choices such that we’ll go in that right direction……….
Then we’ll get there 🙂
Much love,
Jon ‘Piglet’ Hall and Matt ‘Kanga’ Nicholson
