I’ve mentioned many times before that the most common reason that people give for not getting the results they’d that like (in all fields as far as I’m aware) is related to time.

“Too busy” being the most used phrase.

The following is a fairly regular conversation that I have with people who haven’t been getting the results they’d like;

Member: “I’ve just been too busy”

Me: “Ok, cool. So, there’s been 20,000 minutes in the last two weeks. How many of them have you spent on doing something that’s part of the programme?”

Member: “I haven’t been able to make any Sessions. I’ve been too busy.”

Me: “I get that. But’s that’s not what I asked – how much time have you spent on doing ANYTHING that’s part of the programme?”

Member: “What do you mean?”

Because, time and time again, when people do nothing, it’s because they’ve massively narrowed the definition of what they SHOULD or COULD be doing……….

Felt they couldn’t do that……….

And not done anything.

Nearly always those people haven’t spent any time at all doing any of the following;

– Checking out the 2 to 3 minute bite sized chunks on our Learn tab on the app which helps people see through the often confusing and conflicting advice they’ve seen elsewhere and to get clear on the biggest and easiest wins for them

– Tracked their food (1 to 2 minutes per meal) to see what tactical adjustments could be made

– Spent 30 seconds Touching Base and / or 60 seconds setting a RISE Plan for the coming week that we’ll check in on them with

– Looked at any of the 1,000+ recipes on the Recipe tab which are filterable by any and all requirements

– Spent 10 seconds responding to the messages I’ve sent them

– Read any of the daily blogs or watched any of the daily videos

Not because they haven’t had time to………

They’ve just ‘switched off’ to anything……….

When they can’t do ‘everything’…………

And decided to ‘get back to it next week / month’.

And I get that.

I really do.

But, as always, getting it doesn’t mean I won’t question it.

If “all or nothing” was going to work for you, it would’ve worked by now.

Being ok with doing ‘knowing sub-optimal but done’ is powerful (it’s the approach that got every single one of our hundreds of verified successes their results and could be yours too –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply) .

Watching a few videos, replying to a message and / or clicking a few buttons won’t in and off themselves lead to the results we’ll desire.

But they’ll make it way more likely that we do the things that will.

Much love,
