One particular attribute that people often express to me that they’d like to have more of………
Is confidence.
I’d probably wager than 99.9% of us would say that.
At the very least, in particular situations.
I’m not sure I’ve ever met someone who’s 100% happy with their confidence at all times.
So, how do we gain more confidence?
What’s the process?
Here’s one way to look at it;
“Confidence follows competence which follows consistency”
We generally feel more confident in the situation when we feel that will be able to handle it well.
When we have the skills to do that particular thing.
When we’re competent (or more) at it.
And we get competent things through consistency.
Through doing the things that need to be done to get better.
None of this is necessarily easy, of course.
But it’s a path.
A route.
If you want to increase your confidence……..
It’s worth remembering that……..
Confidence follows competence which follows consistency.
