Do you ever see memes along the lines “embrace the grind”?

Or hear talk of people “grinding things out”.

Maybe that’s something that you feel that you do?

Life can feel a grind sometimes, can’t it?

But do you know what causes grinding?

Bluntness.

Grinding occurs when two blunt objects rub up against each other with one slowly breaking down the other.

And do you know what’s a more appealing approach?

Cutting.

By sharpening our tools.

If I wanted to fell a tree, I would much rather cut it down with a sharp saw than slowly grind it down with a blunt instrument.

And our approach to life can be much the same.

When we sharpen our proverbial saws……..

We can achieve the same result (or more) with much less effort.

When we prioritise the protection of our energy levels and enthusiasm……….

It’s amazing sometimes how much more we can do with less effort.

When life feels a grind……..

Eating better, exercise, hydration, sleep, minimising exposure to things that frustrate us and more (we help with all that, rather than just providing some machines for you to do your own thing with —-> www.myrise.co.uk/apply) ……..

Can sharpen our saw……….

Can help us fell the proverbial tress of life much more easily.

Much love,

Jon ‘Tind’ Hall
