Put your hand up if you’ve ever felt you’ve lost the motivation to do something.
You know – you’ve been motivated at some point in the past to exercise, make better food choices, etc.
But you’re not now.
I’m sure we’ve all got our hands up at this point.
You may want to put it down before people start looking.
People often ask me about this.
About the motivation they’ve lost.
And, like your mum did when you were little, I usually ask “Where did you last see it?”
What were you doing and where were you last time you felt motivated?
Chances are that last time you felt motivated to exercise, you were exercising.
Last time you felt motivated to make better food choices, you were making better food choices.
So……..
That’s where you left it.
And that’s where you’ll find it again.
Motivation is a fickle mistress.
But an overrated one.
It’s not actually needed.
All else being equal, we’ll get the same results by doing it whether we’re motivated or not
And we’re much more likely to become motivated by doing than by waiting for motivation to come and find us.
So – next time you’re struggling to find motivation……..
Have a look where you last had it (you’ll definitely find it here, I guarantee –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply) .
Much love,
Jon ‘Far less motivated most of the time than people assume I am, but still do it’ Hall
