I mentioned in yesterday’s blog about the unpleasant emotions that we may feel.

And how there’s been a big increase in conversation around those, and mental health in general, over the last decade.

And that’s great.

It is, as they say, good to talk.

Conversation is an integral part of any changes, none more so than with regards to our mental health.

But you know what’s even better?

Action.

It’s the doing the things.

Talking is often the first step to taking action.

And it generally accompanies action all the way through.

But talking without action is often not enough to elicit change.

Sometimes we just have to do things when we don’t really feel like doing them.

Sometimes we’ll get started, not fully knowing every step of the journey, but knowing we can learn and course correct as we go.

Sometimes we do things when we’re unsure, concerned or apprehensive.

Conversation is great.

It’s good to talk.

But it’s even better when we take action as well (and, you knew this was coming, the best action you could possibly take today for your future is to apply for a place on our four week trial. What have you got to lose? Except weight, lethargy, low mood, etc? —> www.myrise.co.uk/apply) .

Much love,

Jon ‘Slightly confused by some of the pictures that come up when I googled ‘action funny’ for the blog image’ Hall
