Many of you will have noticed that I’ve popped a few posts on Facey B recently that have provoked some discussion.
About a variety of things.
Healthy eating.
Exercise.
Giving kids sugary cereals.
And so on.
And in most of them there appears some variety of comment along the lines of “I think ………. is ok”
Whether it be a certain way of eating.
Giving kids sugary cereal.
Or something else.
As always, we’re not into ‘telling’ people what to do.
Tis your life my friend.
Live it how you please.
But we do see it as our job to make information available to people.
To use how they wish.
And to help ‘challenge’ some of their self limiting beliefs and opinions (one of the reasons our guys get so much better results than anywhere else – myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting if you’re tired of being told what you want to hear and never getting any results from it).
Now, the thing with people’s opinions……..
The facts don’t really care.
Science isn’t affected by what someone thinks.
###################
Giving sugary cereals to children will automatically elevate their insulin levels.
Highly refined starchy carbs are automatically treated the same way as sugar (and have the same impact) from the neck down.
It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks about that, it happens automatically.
It WILL reduce their absorption and effective use of other essential vitamins and minerals (good luck processing the calcium in the milk with a stomach full of sugar).
It WILL increase the chance of them making less healthy choices later in the day.
It WILL increase the chance of them eating less healthily in adult hood.
And increase the risk of obesity and related conditions.
Not saying it will automatically lead to any of this.
But all the research and studies show that it will hugely increase the probability.
Again, the opinion of anyone is kinda irrelevant here.
It’s what happens.
####################
Same with someone’s definition of a balanced, healthy diet.
If it’s mega high carb and doesn’t include essential fats and proteins………
It’s not healthy, no matter what anyone thinks.
####################
Same with exercise.
People can, of course, do different forms of exercise because they prefer them.
For enjoyment.
That’s awesome.
But there are ways of exercising that have been categorically proven to work better for specific goals (weight loss, muscle shaping, etc).
If someone thinks something else, it doesn’t make any difference to how true that is.

Despite what some think, we’re not arrogant enough to think we’re always right.
We may be proven wrong on some of the things we talk about.
But what we are dedicated to doing is digesting the best information available from the best sources………
And passing that on to you.
The above is the consensus of opinions amongst what we think are the best sources available.
If someone wants to disagree, we think it’s fair to suggest that they should have studied all that info and found where they think it’s incorrect.
Rather than just going off what they ‘think’.
Much love,
