Do you have a “to-do list”?

I’m sure we all do.

I’m pretty sure that none of us have ever woken up and not being able to think of a single thing we need to do.

But, do you know what’s better than a “to do list”?

A “Must do list”.

The key things to get done that day or week or month than ‘move the needle’.

That make changes in our lives.

The stuff that can often otherwise get put off because of all the other more urgent day to day stuff.

Every quarter I set goals as part of my Coaching Programme.

Break them down into weekly goals.

Then daily ones.

Each week I have a my ‘key three’ of things that I am promising to get done.

Then the same each day.

Not the standard stuff that’s going to happen anyway.

But the stuff that could get “left to tomorrow” otherwise.

It might be a less enjoyable task that I would be tempted to procrastinate about.

The run I don’t really fancy doing.

The thing that probably could wait till tomorrow but I know enough “tomorrows” adds up to much worse results.

The “to do list” is still essential and has it’s place.

But, this week, maybe let’s try a “must do list”?

Much love,

Jon ‘Something About It by Wings’ Hall
