You probably remember this as a joke / brain teaser from when you were a kid.
“What’s black and white and red all over?”
The answer, if course, is “a newspaper”.
Or “sunburnt penguin” if you’re being smart.
Works better said out loud too – what with the whole red / read thing.
There were others too, of course.
“What’s always coming, but never arrives?”
“Tomorrow”.
Which is true.
All we ever have is ‘today’.
It becomes very easy when we intend to do something ‘tomorrow’ for that tomorrow to never arrive.
When ‘tomorrow’ is “Monday” or “next month” it’s even easier for it to keep getting pushed back.
We get it.
Life is busy and full on.
It’s not a good time.
But………
It’s never a good time (check out myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting if you’ve been waiting for that ‘good time’ for too long now).
The planets will never magically align.
The stuff we have on now will either always be there or be replaced with other stuff.
Success comes not from the big changes we plan for ‘tomorrow’……….
But from the smaller, maintainable changes we can do today.
And everyday.
Much love,
Jon ‘Miss Hannigan’ Hall and Matt ‘Sandy’ Nicholson
