Have you ever caught yourself saying that?
Maybe in your own head.
Maybe out loud.
Perhaps when you’ve intended to do something then it hasn’t quite happened.
You meant to work out four times in a week and did none.
To drink a couple of litres of water but had zero.
To say no to the cake at work and immediately said yes.
Planning on a salad for tea, but got a take out and then demolished a bottle of wine and a tub of Haagan Dazs on the sofa.
“What’s wrong with me?”
Can I tell you the only thing that’s wrong with you?
It’s thinking that there is something wrong with you.
There’s not.
You’re not hopeless.
You’re not broken.
You don’t need ‘fixing’.
You’re perfect as you are.
Maybe there’s an element of ‘peeling back’ that might help.
Life can pile layer upon layer of stuff on us.
Physically, logistically and mentally.
What we are doesn’t need to change.
We just need to allow the real “us” to come out.
To shine.
Sometimes we end up as the equivalent of that beautiful statue encased in a block of granite.
We’re in there.
Somewhere.
We just need to chip away at the self limiting beliefs, the habits, the contradicting information and that little voice whirring round our heads.
Reveal what’s been under there all along.
