One of the main things I do is give ‘accountability’.
It’s one of the most common things that people say they feel they need before they start with us.
It’s very easy not to do something when it doesn’t really matter (in the short term).
The problem with accountability though is…….
We have to be accountable.
We have to account for our actions.
“to give a reason or explanation for (something)”
Everybody wants accountability………
Until it comes time to account.
There’s only so much I can do.
I can’t come around someone’s house and force them to do something.
If I can check in with people and follow up with them and ask them if they’ve done what they told me they would do.
If they didn’t then we’ve got two options at that point;
1. Do what we said we would and account for that
2. Hide like a child with their fingers in their ears or a teenager in their bedroom
One is much easier but produces way worse results.
One is a bit harder but is what we said we would do and is what leads to progress over time.
Having the integrity to not essentially hide when we’ve not done what we said we would……..
And to work together to learn from that and set a better plan going forward……
Is brave.
It’s powerful to remember that if you want accountability……….
Then you need to be willing to account.
Much love,

P.S. I’m here when you’re ready for actual accountability and are fed up of people promising you all sorts then just leaving you to your own devices —> www.myrise.co.uk/apply
