I mentioned the number of intentions that we might have in yesterday’s blog.
One of them was to “believe in ourselves more”.
Again, a perfectly laudable thought.
Again, unlikely to happen without a plan.
Without knowing what helps create belief, we are unlikely to make that happen.
Do you know where belief comes from?
Benchmarks.
Belief comes from benchmarks.
Set points on longer journey that we’ve defined that we then achieve.
A number of sessions done.
An amount of weight lost.
A number of activities undertaken.
Some other series of defined markers on the route between where you are now and where you want to be.
Something that we’ll set a plan to achieve.
And that achieving then creates further belief.
And, again, when it doesn’t happen, having something to learn from and to direct our next benchmarks and plans.
Remember – belief comes from benchmarks.
Much love,
Jon ‘Bench press’ Hall
