Long time readers will know that, at RISE, we focus a lot more on quality and balance of food rather than volume.
We don’t count calories.
Just get people eating well and doing effective exercise.
Its not that we don’t think calorie balance is relevant.
We just find that bit of the equation kind of takes care of itself when everything else falls into place.
And we’ve always found that just trying to eat less crap, or do a bit more exercise while still eating crap, rarely works well long term.
We had some charmer reply to one of our email the other week.
Educating us about how you have to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight.
Apparently you can “get fat eating too much chicken and broccoli”.
Not disputing this.
But where is this person?
Where is this person who just eats quality food, with a good balance.
But has just eaten too much of it.
And has got fat as a consequences.
So, if we’ve never heard of it, I wouldn’t worry too much about it happening to you.
JERF (Just Eat Real Food) and have a (real) balanced diet and the calorie but should take care of itself.
Much love,
Jon ‘Gets fat when drinks too much’ Hall and Matt ‘Me too’ Nicholson
