As I mentioned the other day I got my boys back on Monday.
They’ve recently got into Harry Potter.
They even got little Potter outfits for Christmas.
They were watching one of the films yesterday.
Something to do with a prince.
And my eldest says to the youngest “Something important’s about to happen”.
“How do you know?” I asked.
“You can tell from the music” he replied.

Unfortunately, real life doesn’t have a background music.
We often don’t know when important things are going to happen.
We don’t know we’re being faced with some of life’s big decisions till we look back.
We usually just meander through life doing things the way we always have.
And often what happens to us is the culmination of lots of little choices – the ‘big decisions’ are very few and far between.
Particularly with food and exercise.
You don’t get fat with one bag of crisps or sugar laden breakfast cereal in the same way you don’t slim with one salad.
But all those decisions add up without us really realising what’s happening.
Imagine a bit of atmospheric music started playing each time we were about to choose what to eat or whether or not we’d go for a workout.
We’d probably be more likely to make the ‘right’ decision.
So – next time you’re faced with these decisions, imagine that tune playing first and see how you feel then 🙂
Much love,
