I mentioned in yesterday’s blog that the main reason really why someone doesn’t try what we do at RISE……….
Isn’t necessarily what people think.
And that it often boils down to concern that they might regret it.
And if approaching 24 years of doing this has taught me anything…………
It’s that one of the main reasons that people don’t exercise regularly……….
Is that it’s boring.
Or, at least, it can be.
And, I get that.
People often say to me things like “I wish I loved exercise like you do”.
To which I tell them “I don’t”.
I really don’t.
Definitely not when doing it by myself, as is the standard gym model.
I’ve made it as tolerable as possible, sure.
And I’ve made peace with doing it for the benefits many years ago.
But working out in a gym by myself is pretty boring.
As it is for most people.
Which is why our Group Sessions work so much better.
Exercising with like minded others in an intimidation free atmosphere.
Just turning up and being told what to do and coached through it.
Having a way to track progress and see the benefits more regularly than the scales alone will show.
Upbeat music that fits the structure of the Session.
Relatively short time periods of different exercises rather than ages on one.
All things designed to make the whole process more enjoyable.
If exercise is boring, we’re going to struggle to do it enough to get the results that we desire.
