If you follow our social media accounts you’ll notice that I post regularly on there.
The daily blog has appeared on socials for over 3,000 days in a row.
And we’ve done countless member stories, testimonials and the like over the years.
The structure that I’m currently following is;
11am – Blog
2.30pm – Member story
7pm – Member success (weight loss pic, Session numbers, RISE Rewards, etc)
I appreciate that’s a lot more about our members successes then most places.
If many of our local competitors’ social media accounts are anything to go by, we seem to get more successes in a week than they do in a year combined.
But, yeah, we have a lot of successes.
And I share them for two reasons.
The most obvious one is to generate interest in what we do from people who aren’t already members.
It’s that social proof that what we do works.
But the second reason, which is just as important to me, is a little bit less obvious.
It’s to help existing members.
That regular reminder of what we do.
This isn’t somewhere where people join and never go, like a big box gym.
When you see other members that you know hit 5, 20, 50 100…… 1,000 Sessions and so on………
It makes it more likely that you’ll do the same.
This is a place where people go and stay and do the Sessions.
When you see other members getting results, you’re more likely to do the same.
This is a place where people get results.
When you see people getting RISE Rewards, you’re more likely to set that weekly RISE Plan to work towards those and benefit from that weekly intent and accountability.
This is a place where people set specific intentions that they want to be held accountable to rather than just “I know what I need to do, I just need to do it” and “I’ll get back to it next week”.
And I do a weekly post in the members only group where we celebrate those that have achieved the above things as well as that week’s RISE Plan and those have been in for Sessions.
When you’re surrounded by people that are doing the things that you need to do, you’re more likely to do them.
To a degree we get dragged along by that collective momentum.
If everyone we surround ourselves with is gaining weight, saying it’s their metabolism and always being “too busy” to exercise (despite what their phone’s screen time and Netflix habits suggest)………
We’re likely to do the same.
That’s an expression that you are the average of the five people that you spend the most time with.
And whilst I don’t fully buy that, the peer group that you surround yourself with does make certain behaviours more or less likely.
If your average peer group at the moment isn’t setting you success, that doesn’t mean you have to eliminate them from your life.
Just engage with others to change that average (joining us at RISE via www.myrise.co.uk/apply will massively change that average. And the results your get).
Much love,
Jon ‘is caring’ Hall
