I mentioned in Friday and yesterday’s blogs that I’m in a coaching programme and was on the quarterly meet up for it.
People are sometimes surprised that I have a coach / am in a coaching programme.
“But you are a coach?” is the most common response.
Which, when you think about it, doesn’t really make sense.
I get why people say it but, by definition, a coach is someone who believes in the power of coaching.
I genuinely believe that you will get better results (physical, mental and lifestyle related) by working with me than you will by yourself.
And, in my opinion at least, if a coach doesn’t work with a coach themselves then either they have every single aspect of their life (health, fitness, business, finances, relationships, etc) 100% perfect (unlikely) or they don’t believe in coaching as much as they claim.
They’re happy to take your money off you but won’t invest in themselves.
For me, it serves a few main purposes.
– Makes me stop, take stock and set goals and plans
– Gives me a degree of accountability – useful when I’ve spent the vast majority of my adult life with no one to answer to
– Helps me make tweaks and refinements in my business and personal life
– Helps me learn from the experiences and mistakes of others rather than having to do that myself
All really what I’d like to think I do (or could do —> www.myrise.co.uk/apply) for you!
Much love,
