One of the downsides to working in the ‘fitness industry’ is that, before getting to know you, people generally assume we’re ‘a bit thick’.

Which is understandable I suppose.

Our industry doesn’t always attract the ‘sharpest knives in the drawer’.

But at the same time there are a lot of very knowledgeable and experienced guys and gals around.

Like our good selves 😉

But we appreciate it’s hard to decide who to listen to.

So many ‘experts’.

So many often conflicting approaches to weight loss, fitness, etc.

What we’d recommend though is using the same approach we do when we decide who to listen to.

And that is success rates.

We do course / take mentoring from guys like Charles Poliquin / Dax Moy / Sam Bakhatiar / Paul Mort because they have had such great results with what they do.

And have been very successful in helping thousands of people change their lives and bodies with their methods.


People often question some of the things we advise.

Because it differs from what a lot of other people recommend.

I’ll never forget one of our early members when we first opened RISE.

She’d gone home and told her husband what we’d recommended.

Her husband who was morbidly obese and had Type II diabetes.

And he’d dismissed it as it contradicted his doctor’s advise.

“Who are you going to listen to – some guy who works in a gym or a doctor” was his reported response.

My response to that?

“I’d listen to the people who have had great success with hundreds of people’s following their recommendations over the person following guidelines that have seen ever increasing, record levels of obesity and obesity related diseases”.

I’m sure you get the point.

Not saying you don’t necessarily need to listen to us.

But we’d recommend using success rates in deciding who to listen to.
