This one comes up a lot: “There’s no point doing something short-term”
I’m big on long-term change.
But long-term change doesn’t mean doing the same thing all the time.
But results come not when things go perfectly, but when we become okay with slowing down and speeding up as circumstance dictates.
Not stopping. Not restarting. Just adjusting.
Longer term change can involve periods of faster and slower progression.
And maybe even a few regressions in there.
Three steps forward, one step back always being better than one step forward, two steps back.
Maybe when logistics are a little easier
Maybe when we’re just feeling it a bit more.
You don’t have to do something forever for it to be worth doing now.
And then transition back into something longer term.
Short term stuff is absolutely fine (it’s why we do a 4 week trial to start – it’s feels doable, gets great results and creates buy-in to longer term changes. It’s www.myrise.co.uk/apply when you’ve had enough of sliding backwards and eternally putting change off)
As long as it fits into a longer term picture that works.
Much love,
