This is a conversation I’ve had more times than I can count. Member: “I don’t think it was a good time to start” Me: “How come?” “I’ve had a few parties and social events over the last few weeks”. “So?” “Well I’ve eaten more than I intended and haven’t lost as much weight as I’d have liked” “But you’ve lost weight haven’t you?” “Yeah, but not much”. “Were you gaining or losing weight before you started?” “Well, gaining”. “Sounds like progress to me”. “I suppose. But I’d have done better if I’d started later on when I didn’t have all these things on” “I get that. But if you hadn’t started a few weeks ago, you’d have gained more weight. You’d have more to do. You’d be further behind”. “Yeah, you’re right”. “It might not have been an absolute perfect time. But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a good time. It’s always a good time”. Now, I’ve paraphrased that. But it’s the basic gist of a conversation, I’ve had many many times. If you can imagine yourself as the other half of that conversation, then maybe it’s worth questioning getting started / back to it? Which you can do at www.myrise.co.uk/apply You’re always better off starting earlier. Whatever happens. Much love, Jon ‘Rescue’ Hall
