You know the adverts, don’t you?
For Churchill insurance.
Got that little dog mascot who goes “Oh yes”.
At the risk of sounding like I’m fat shaming (it’s a fictional toy dog, work with me), he’s carrying a few extra pounds, isn’t he?
Hasn’t improved his shape in the (consults Google) 24 years he’s been doing those ads.
Although, to be fair to him, he doesn’t look a day older.
Do you know why he hasn’t got in better shape?
————– Not because he’s a fictional character —————
It’s because he just nods his head.
Agrees with what he’s hearing.
But doesn’t take action.
Something we’re all guilty of sometimes.
Have you ever read something in one of these blogs…………..
Or heard something on one of our videos…………..
And thought “That’s a great point”?
Possibly even nodded you head………….
And then done nothing with it?
I know I have with plenty of things I’ve read and heard over the years.
And then, at some point in the future, actually made those changes.
And looked back and wondered why I didn’t before.
Ultimately, action is the only answer.
——– Those of you that have seen the members only videos on habit formation this week and have been nodding away at them, but done nothing with the, then maybe take this as a gentle nudge to do something with them? If you haven’t watched them yet, go have look? ———–
Thinking and planning are part of taking better actions, of course.
But thinking and planning without action will achieve nothing,
Nodding away in agreement like Churchill won’t get us anywhere.
Much love,
Jon ‘Winston’ Hall
