Most of you will know that we ran a one off offer through June for the July intake.

 

We’ve invested a lot of money in coaching / training and our new body composition analysis machine.

 

Spent everything in the tax account 🙁

 

So needed a little bit of growth to help claw that back.

 

It was more popular than we thought, so are running this July one and one in August with those we couldn’t fit in.

And have no plans to do it again as we’ll be back to just needing to maintain membership levels.

 

We’ve had a lot of people emailing asking about getting involved on this “21 Day Slimdown”.

 

And we’ve had to explain that we’re now full till September at the earliest.

 

Possibly longer depending on retention of those on this offer.

 

Most replies to this have been “Shame, but understand. See you in September, hopefully”

 

But we’ve had a few along the lines of “In that case I’ll have to go and join XYZ. You can join there any time”

 

Now I get that people are keen to get started.

 

But to me, the fact that everywhere else lets people start at any time is telling.

 

Firstly we sell out every month in advance so people always have to wait till the start of the next month at the earliest.

 

Over 50 straight months of doing that now!

 

Those that can take people on right now have either;

 

A) Less than the number of members than they would like or

 

B) A system designed on non usage. Only 20% of gym members go regularly, so throwing some more in is no biggie.

 

I’m not sure that I’d be overly keen on somewhere that, after a number of years, still doesn’t have enough members or is built on low usage.

But, more importantly, to me, somewhere that can take people on at anytime, clearly doesn’t have any structured journey.

 

Our guys follow a progressive programme throughout the month.

 

Designed for maximum results.

 

You can’t come in in Week 3 if you’ve missed Weeks 1 and 2.

 

Starting any time usually means you’re either renting access to equipment to do your own thing (fine if you’re happy with that) or it’s just random workouts.

 

Which will have benefit, sure.

 

Just less than a structured, progressive programme.

 

And all our new starters go through a structured programme of education and support.

 

At their own pace, sure.

 

But there is a path to follow.

 

Starting anytime usually means exercise alone.

 

Or maybe a few handouts or a ‘manual’ thrown in at best.

 

So, if you didn’t know already, that’s the reason people have to wait till, at least, the next month to start here.

Start any time is usually just equipment or workouts.
