The other week I mentioned about how I’ve started parking in the Sainsbury’s in Wilsmlow when I take my youngest son, Charlie, to Tumble Tots.

 

And how that planning ahead actually saves time.

 

Like it can with your eating.

 

I’ll be there again now.

 

The session finishes at 11.15 and, on the way out, we pop into the toilet.

 

There’s a sign there I see every week.

Selling Personal Training.

 

“Your goals are important” it begins.

 

“And you can’t achieve them alone.”

 

Just feels like it’s missing “You big loser” at the end.

 

But maybe that’s just how I read it.

 

In my humble opinion, that’s where a lot of FitPros go wrong.

 

Thinking that they are ‘essential’.

 

That people can’t do without them.

 

That they are the only answer.

 

That their customers ‘lack’ something that’s stopping them achieving their goals, that only they, the FitPro, can provide them with.

The truth though is the opposite.

 

There isn’t a single thing that we do, that you can’t do yourself for free.

 

You can lose weight, get fitter, stronger and healthier without us.

 

To say otherwise is an insult to you.

 

You probably know enough as it is right now.

 

If not, you can get enough to get you going in the right direction for free on YouTube.

 

You ‘could’ just eat less, go running every day and use some weights at home.

 

How Personal Training Helps

 

Where we come in is bridging the gap between ‘could’ and ‘are’.

 

To make it actually happen.

 

To get done in months what might have taken years.

 

Or might not happen at all.

 

We make the whole process easier and more enjoyable.

 

We help people with the self limiting beliefs, habits and though processes that hold them back.

 

We help them with the most effective, but also enjoyable and maintainable method for them.

 

Maximum results for your effort.

 

Biggest bang for your buck.

 

Actually getting you there. That’s how personal training helps.

You ‘could’ walk pretty much anywhere.

 

Across the Cat and Fiddle from Macclesfield to Buxton.

 

To Manchester for work.

 

All the way to London.

 

Replace any of the above with a location specific example that works for you.

 

But you could also drive or get a bus or train.

 

Makes the whole journey much smoother and more pleasant.

 

For a cost you think is worth that benefit.

 

That’s what we do.

 

We don’t pretend you can’t walk.

 

We just offer a way to get you to your desired destination in a way that is quicker and more enjoyable (check the informal find-out-more meeting at RISE in Macclesfield if you like the sound of that).
