One of the biggest mistakes we often make when trying to make some changes to our weight, health and fitness is……………….
To try to go from “going backwards”………….
Straight to ‘perfection’.
Forwards and 100 miles per hour.
From eating and living in a way that’s caused us to gain weight, lose energy, etc…………
To trying to “eat like a nutritionist” and “train like an athlete”.
And, when we don’t feel we can maintain that, to return to the ‘backwards’ approach.
We get it.
Faster progress is more exciting.
Easier to remain enthused about.
Creates motivation.
When we “see it working”.
And we’re all for fast progress.
But………..
What usually makes the fastest progress………..
Is the knowingly sub-optimal approach………….
That we, on average, maintain.
Fast enough to feel is worthwhile.
Not so much we feel any sort of need to “stop”.
Much love,

P.S. Yesterday’s middle name was Treat Williams. An American actor apparently. He was in Once Upon A Time In America.
