💡💡💡 If you’re a frustrated yo-yo dieter and gym disliker who would like to lose 10 to 20lbs in 8 weeks while developing lasting healthy habits without having to do boring exercise you hate and give up food you love (with a money back guarantee), then you can apply for a place on the programme at www.myrise.co.uk/apply 💡💡💡

I mentioned in yesterday’s blog about the value of having a plan.

Of specifics.

And how the human brain is often reluctant to do this.

It’s feels restrictive.

We like the idea of more flexibility and freedom.

But, it’s powerful to realise that it’s impossible to not have a plan.

That, in the absence of a new, deliberate plan………….

We’re planning to revert to our default behaviours.

Which is fine.

Until it isn’t.

If our default behaviours have led (or are leading) us to where we want to go to………..

Then that’s cool.

If they’re not, not making a new plan is just planning on staying the same.

Maybe……….

Planning to waste time.

Planning to get less done than we could.

Planning to not get results you say are important to you.

Planning to continue living the same life.

Planning to have less resources (time, money, energy, enthusiasm) for what you really want.

Planning to have more disappointment, frustration, anger and / or guilt over what’s happening in our lives.

The new plan might not work perfectly, sure.

But we can tweak and refine it.

Don’t throw it in the bin the second it’s not perfect.

Make it a better plan.

Think through the steps.

Put things in place.

Again, one more time, we can’t “not plan”.

Not setting a new plan is planning on reverting to default behaviours.

Which is fine.

Until it isn’t.

Much love,

P.S. Yesterday’s middle name: “BSc – Bronze swimming certificate” was one of Arnold Rimmer (from the 90s sitcom Red Dwarf’s) two qualifications. Along with SSc – Silver swimming certificate. #DatedReference

P.P.S. One of the things we help our guys with is setting an actual plan. And some accountability around that. Check www.myrise.co.uk/apply if you think that would help you (and, if history has taught me anything, it definitely will).
