We know this, don’t we?
You can’t “turn off” the dark.
We can only turn on the light.
Darkness, after all, is just an absence of light.
And light is the only thing that can chases that darkness away.
In more ways than one.
With our mood and mental health too.
When we’re in a dark place (or darker than we’d like to be)…………
We can’t ‘switch off’ that darkness as such.
We can only fill it with some light.
Easier said than done, sure.
But everything is easier said than done.
So when we’re feeling a little darker than we’d like, how can we add a little light in?
No right or wrong.
Individual to everyone.
Some exercise?
Some better food choices?
More sleep?
More water?
Less alcohol and / or caffeine?
Less media (conventional or social)?
More positive inputs (what I’d like to think we do)?
Again, no right or wrong.
But always worth remembering that we can’t “turn off” that dark.
But we can start to turn some light on, maybe just a little at time.
Much love,
Jon ‘Order’ Hall
