If you’ve read these blogs for any length of time, you’ll know how I work.
I’ll ask you questions.
I’ll never tell you what to do.
I’m not your mum.
And let’s be honest, it’s pretty annoying when your mum does tell you what to do.
I just want to help you ask questions of how you approach things, what you’re doing and the thought processes and beliefs that will underpin those things and the results that they bring about.
You may come up with the same answers that you have before.
And that’s fine
They’re your answers.
There’s no right or wrong.
I’m just not going to ask the same questions that you’ve asked yourself before.
Because we’ll then automatically come up with the same answers.
What I’m going to do here is ask the question that…………
Could we choose to view the reasons we don’t do something…………
As being the reasons to do it?
You might decide not to.
But shall we just ask the question?
Instead of seeing being “too busy” as a reason to not exercise………………
Could we see being busy as a reason to exercise?
Because of the increased energy, focus, endurance, mental health and mood it brings.
Could we see that this investment of time in exercise will have a disproportional benefit in the rest of our lives and help us with what we’re busy doing?
Instead of seeing “being tired” and “low in energy” as a reason to not exercise…………..
Could we see being tired and low in energy as a reason to do something that will improve our energy levels?
Instead of deciding not to exercise because we feel it’s boring……………
Could we decide to exercise because of the extra things that improved energy levels, mood, focus and endurance allow us to do in the rest of our lives that we find enjoyable?
Instead of deciding to stop doing something which benefits our health, fitness, energy and mood in order to save money……………..
Could we decide that the benefits of exercise can help us earn more money?
Instead of not reading blogs or watching videos…………..
Could we decide to watch the videos and read the blogs because of the disproportionate knock-on benefit that has on the rest of the 10,080 minutes in the week?
You can say yes or no to any of these as you like.
Your call.
But is it worth just asking the question that…………..
Could we not choose to see the reasons for not doing something as actually being the reasons for doing it?
Much love,
Jon ‘d’etre’ Hall
P.S. Your reason for clicking this link (www.myrise.co.uk/apply) is that you’ve had enough of the standard menu of options of gyms, slimming clubs and diets and find them some combination of boring, confusing and restrictive and you want to make changes to your body and / or mind that you’ve struggled to make (as have the overwhelming majority) doing it by yourself!
