Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook will probably have noticed that I post more frequently than some.
Some work related, some personal.
Every now and again I get comments about my posting.
Which is fine.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
But, I’m also entitled to question their opinion if it is factually incorrect.
Sometimes people say to me “You post everything that you do”.
To which I might reply “No, I don’t. I post less than 10% of what I do”.
Or I might say “How much do I do?”.
When they invariably respond with “What do you mean?”……..
I’ll explain that “You must know how much I do to be confident that I’m posting about all of it?”.
Ultimately there’s 168 hours in the week.
At most, I might post about what I’m doing for a handful (or two) of hours per week.
Even if we exclude the time that we spend asleep, I’m posting about less than 10% of what I do.
The facts don’t back up what people say.
As they often don’t.
Data over drama.
It’s like when people say they’re “too busy” to do something but don’t have the accurate data of how they’re currently assigning their time.
Or that they “can’t lose weight no matter what I do” but don’t have the accurate data of their energy intake.
———— If you feel either or both of the above, I can help you make tactical changes that will get you the results you want rather than just giving you the same old list of things you’ve struggled with before –> www.myrise.co.uk/apply ———-
It’s super easy to form opinions about a situation without all the relevant information.
Human nature.
But getting the accurate information that underpins a situation can be invaluable in helping us form opinions that will serve us better!
