Up until yesterday I had sent out a blog / email for the last 2,162 week days in a row.
To be honest, I’m not sure why that number doesn’t end in a zero or a five – maybe I started on a Thursday?
Monday to Friday at 11am since late 2012.
No more!
That is at an end.
Don’t worry though (I know you were panicking)………..
We’re not stopping completely!
We’ve decided to go to 7 days a week.
I know some will feel this is “too much”.
But, I’ll be honest, everyone told me five a week was too much.
Other FitPros particularly.
Most of whom haven’t been in the industry for several years now.
If someone feels that spending a total of 14 to 21 minutes out of 10,080 across the week reading something that could help them is “too much”……….
They probably already felt that about 10 to 15 minutes.
And, I’ll be honest, from experience, they would be considerably less likely to invest more time than that in exercising and changing their eating were they to join us.
That’s fine.
They’ve always been able to stop getting these any time they like.
Find them helpful?
I’ll be helping you seven days a week now, not just five.
And, I’ll be honest, my biggest thought is “Why don’t we help people as much at the weekend?”
If anything, that’s the time most need a bit more support.
And does just emailing on “work days” feed into most people’s thought process that “It’s the weekend”.
A time we “have off”.
Rather than it just being one (or two) of 7 days where we’re looking to create an average.
We don’t need to take “time off” caring about what we put into and do with our bodies because of how it makes us look and feel.
Speed up and slow down, sure.
Maybe eat and exercise differently on those days but as part of an overall average, not “a few days off”.
That stop-start mentality holds us back more than anything.
So why should we stop-start sending you something that can help each week?
So we won’t 🙂
Much love,
Jon ‘Mr Bond’ Hall
