Twas, of course, our last social last Saturday.

Another epic night out.

Until Jeremy bought me that Chilli Vodka that is 🙁

It’s always cool chatting to our ninjas on the nights out.

A drink or 12 helps us learn more about the guys than we will in the sessions alone.

I had a couple of people open up to me about the changes in their relationships with certain friends, family members, colleagues, etc since they’ve been changing their lives with us.

One thing a few people mentioned was that people have started telling them “You’re no fun anymore”.

Despite the fact that they are actually happier and having more fun than in a long time.

#############################

We’ve mentioned before the concept of ‘Failure being best endured shared’.

People wanting you to fail (at losing weight, getting fit, etc) as it will validate their own excuses for not doing it.

“See – we can’t be in shape with our job, the kids, etc”.

You succeeding makes them question those excuses.

And they often don’t like it.

Them saying that “you’re no fun” basically is them saying “you’re making me feel bad by not joining me in this cake, drink, etc”.

You’ve seen that those things aren’t really fun.

In fact they make you less happy overall.

Which is no fun, is it?

So – learn to take “You’re no fun anymore” as a compliment.

You’re obviously going in the right direction.

Keep it up 🙂

Much love,

Jon ‘Used to fancy the twins from Fun House’ Hall and Matt ‘Not been any fun for  years apparently’ Nicholson
