I’ve had a few people tell me this recently.
“You’re very persistent”.
I took it entirely as a compliment.
Although, I’m not 100% sure it was meant in that way in all the cases.
A massive part of the value of what I do is continuing to do what I’ve said I will……….
And continuing to do what other people have asked me to do……….
Even if they go a little bit ‘radio silence’ in the meantime.
If someone fills a new application form in, they’re asking me to contact them about the programme……….
So, I will keep contacting them about the programme.
This is not unsolicited cold calling or messaging……..
They’ve specifically asked me to do it, then not told me otherwise in the meantime.
I know for every person that eventually tells me “Can you not take a hint that I’m not interested?”……….
They’ll be several that will eventually apologise for not getting around to replying and thank me for sticking with them and then, in many cases helping them change their lives.
When someone joins, nearly always part of the attraction is that there’s accountability in our programme.
That we don’t do what most facilities do, which is leave you to your own devices, and only contact you when you cancel your Direct Debit.
But ccountability only works with persistence.
Dropping someone a message once when they’ve not been in for a little while isn’t accountability.
A single call over several months of membership isn’t accountability.
What I do is repeated contacts to people who’ve asked me for that in order to help them do the thing that they want to do but are struggling with………
To achieve the results that they desire.
If that’s not what someone wants, that’s cool.
There are plenty of other options out there that will continue to take someone’s money and just leave them to do nothing.
Not us.
So, yeah, I am and will continue to be persistent.
Persistently doing the thing that people have asked me to do or that I have promised to do until they tell me otherwise.
Much love,
Jon ‘Persistuncle’ Hall
