This last Tuesday we had the UK’s leading Emotional Eating Coach Chris Tibbets in for his second in person seminar for our members.

It’s up on the Resources tab on the app (under ‘More’) for those of you that are members – and, for those that aren’t, this is one of the many things we do for our members which helps them get amazing life changing results where they’ve just wasted money on gyms and / or Slimming Clubs in the past. Check www.myrise.co.uk/apply if that sounds familiar.

It was awesome.

There were a few things he said that really hit home.

I’ll share some over the next few days.

At one point he was talking about how much time, effort and money food companies spend on making their products as easy to consume and moorish as possible.

How they massively stack the deck against our desires to make other food choices that will serve us better in other ways.

I already knew that food companies perform scans on the brains of people as they are consuming their foods.

And test and test and test different ingredient combinations, cooking methods, packaging, etc…………..

In order to maximise the firing of those “pleasure centres”…………

And make it as easy as possible for you to end up spending more of your money on their product(s).

What I hadn’t realised, which Chris said, is that considerably more money is spent on this than on the same levels of scanning and research on the brains of Alzheimer’s patients.

It makes sense, I suppose.

But makes you think doesn’t it?

Remembering that those foods that you find really easy to “overdo”…………

Aren’t just “there”………….

But that every aspect of them has been specifically engineered with the intention of making you eat as much (and spend as much) as possible…………

Can be a powerful step in reducing their appeal.

Much love,

Jon ‘Today years old when I learned that the word Alzheimer comes from German psychiatrist and neurologist Alois Alzheimer’ Hall
