We’ve all been there.

Either stuck behind some “doddery old fool” who’s pootling along below the speed limit.

Or had “some maniac” coming up behind us, clearly wanting to go faster than we are.

Pretty much everyone feels that they drive at the correct speed and anyone who varies from that is more extreme than them.

It’s the same with food.

Most people fall into the pattern of thinking that any approach to eating that differs from their own “is a bit extreme”.

People who eat less processed food than them are “picky”.

Eating healthily may be described as “on a diet”.

Someone who eats a more balanced diet than them may be “cutting carbs” or “on a high protein diet” or “eating loads of meat”.

Those who exercise regularly “are a bit obsessed”.

People often find this.

They start doing the right thing for their health, waistline and happiness.

And people start describing it in ways that make them feel like they’re being odd.

So, if that’s happening to you, then don’t worry about it.

Put it in the context of the way people see other drivers J
