Whoaaa – yesterday’s email had possibly the most replies we’ve ever had!!!
Many of you were surprised that the government’s recommendations for how to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle are so out of align with what we (an countless) other find actually works.
A lot of you were quite annoyed about it.
Understandably, if you ask me.
I spent years following the guidelines.
And was fat.
I started eating and living the way I do now.
And I’m not.
And it’s easier too!
We had quite a lot of questions about what we recommend eating wise.
Several of you have booked in to next week’s free briefing meetings to find out more – click here to apply or, if you’ve already filled the application form and aren’t sure what to do next, leave a comment at the bottom or email me on jon@myrise.co.uk

What do we recommend?
#############################################################################
I used to talk a lot about the ‘Paleo’ lifestyle.
Basically – eating natural foods that we evolved successfully on for millions of years.
Cutting out all the processed crap that has caused all the obesity and health problems of the last few decades.
But I recently came across what I consider an even better term.
JERF
Just
Eat
Real
Food
It’s pretty much the same recommendation, but simplifies it in a little.
People sometimes get confused over what is Paleo and what isn’t.
And I find some people take the level of Paleo so far that it loses the average person – dropping anything not native to this country; carrots, peas, etc.
I think JERF as an approach works well as its easy to follow and there’s no argument against it.
If something is a natural foodstuff – ie: has one ingredient (meats, nuts, vegetables, fruits, etc) – then go for it.
If it has been through some sort of process to put it in its current form, reducing or stopping your consumption of it will help you massively (bread, pasta, cereals, cake, biscuits, sweets, etc).
And, as I mentioned, there’s no argument against it.
I’ve been involved in all sorts of discussions on the merit of the Paleo lifestyle.
But JERF?
If someone disagrees with it, they are basically saying “You should eat more processed food” and are, therefore, crazy!!!!
If you’re not a member and still want to find out more about our approach and the insane life and body transformations its giving the people of Macclesfield, remember you can book on next week’s free briefing meetings to find out more by clicking here to apply or, if you’ve already filled the application form and aren’t sure what to do next, leave a comment at the bottom or email me on jon@myrise.co.uk
Much love,
