We’ve been talking to a few of our ninjas recently who are facing challenges related to aging parents.

Two ninjas with parents with terminal cancer.

A couple of recent deaths.

Several having to face the ‘sandwich generation’ challenges of having to run around after both their parents and their children.

And how they are finding it harder to ‘take care’ of themselves at the same time.

Thankfully both my parents are well.

So I haven’t been through it myself.

But Matt did lose his Dad suddenly and unexpectedly 4 1/2 years ago.

And, over the years, we’ve worked with plenty of others who are going through these sort of challenges.

It’s obviously horrible, but we all know that the last thing our parents want would be for our health and happiness to suffer as a result of their situation.

It definitely becomes harder to do ‘what needs to be done’ for yourself.

Adding more difficulties into already busy and challenging lives.

That’s where better ‘systems’ come into place.

Really getting ‘on it’ with planning ahead, batch cooking and so on.

And making a concerted effort to find good outlets for the stresses and strains that come with it – exercise, meditation and so on.

All easier said than done, of course – but that’s where we come in.

A major part of what we do is helping people develop these systems that fit into their life and enable them to do what they really want to to change their lives (and bodies).

If you’re struggling with challenges related to aging parents (or unwell family members), then let us know – we’ll see what we can do.

That’s what we’re here for 🙂

Much love,

P.S. Tomorrow I’ll cover why we don’t want anyone to ‘join’ us – you read that right
