If I asked you all what the worst day of the week is, I’m fairly confident that most people would say Monday.
And I get that.
It would be foolish of me to expect it not to be the least favourite day for most.
But here’s a couple of things that you can do to make it even worse.
1. Spend all weekend mainlining food and alcohol (and possibly something stronger) like there’s no tomorrow.
2. Not have any particular goals or anything new that you’re working towards.
Now I’m not naïve.
I don’t expect us not to eat more food and / or drink alcohol at the weekend.
I know I do.
And pretty much every success story we’ve ever had does.
But only to a degree.
Questioning the justification that, because we can’t eat “perfectly”, we may as well use that as a justification for going all the way to the other end of the spectrum.
We can enjoy ourselves just as much with an amount that we can average out over the entirety of the weekend, or the rest of the week.
Enjoy more overall, if anything, as it doesn’t have negative impact on how I felt for the remainder of the weekend and today.
And I’m willing to bet my house that if the entirety of our plan for the week is “To get through it”……..
Then we’re not going to consider it a great week.
Not every part of the week is going to be amazing of course.
But if we can’t answer the question of “What you most looking forward to this week?” on a Monday morning………
And if we’re not doing anything at all in the week that motivates and inspires us……….
Then not only will that Monday be rubbish………
But the rest of the week will be as well.
Much love,
Jon ‘Manic’ Hall
