Motivation.

 

The thing, that as a society, we feel we need to start doing the things we need to do to get the things we want to get.

 

You know, we need to “get motivated to go to the gym”.

 

Or “I’m not feeling motivated to eat better”.

 

And so on.

 

Motivation is a funny thing.

 

When we sit round waiting for it, it is a long time, if ever, coming.

 

There’s a quote I love:

 

“Action isn’t just the effect of motivation; it’s also the cause of it.”

 

We get motivated by doing and we do when we’re motivated.

 

Chicken AND egg.

 

Both feeding into each other.

 

Like some weird, cannibalistic chicken breakfast frenzy!

 

So, you know what I’m going to say, don’t you?

 

That thing you’re not motivated to do at the moment?

 

That will, over time, help you make some change you want to make?

 

Just go do it.
