We all know the Tortoise beat the Hare.

Old news.

But…….

Let’s face it……..

The Tortoise only won because the Hare was being daft.

If he’d not been messing around, he’d have crushed his be-shelled pal.

It wasn’t the Tortoise’s ‘slowness’ that helped him.

It was his ‘steadyness’.

Slow and steady beats fast and inconsistent, sure.

But fast and steady is the best combo.

Slow can be demotivating.

If the ‘race’ seems like it’s going to take too long, it can put us off even ‘taking part’.

Human nature.

Too fast can mean we can’t keep it up and stop.

But a reasonable, maintainable speed?

That we can speed up and slow down on as circumstance dictates?

That we don’t feel the need to stop completely, but that we don’t get bored of because it’s taking too long?

Don’t be the Tortoise – it’s boring!

Don’t be the Hare – he’s an idiot!

Be a Haretoise.

Quickish and steady wins the race 🙂

Much love,

P.S. Quickish and steady is what we do! It’s now another month to get booked in to find out more about what we do but, heh, why wait? –> myrise.co.uk/briefing-meeting.
