I forgot our middle names – Make weight loss easier

You may have noticed that on Tuesday’s blog (the one about just trying to hit the dart board to start) that I missed mine and Matt’s middle names.

 

I actually just put ‘Jon’ as that’s the point I usually get to whilst drafting the blogs.

 

All blogs start as just an idea entered onto the Google Keep app on my phone.

 

They then get fleshed out on the same app, usually either on my iPad or laptop.

 

Then finished off and published on the RISE PC.

 

Sometimes adding the middle names is the hardest bit.

 

And, in this case, I couldn’t think of anything immediately and then didn’t notice there wasn’t one when publishing.

There are blog ideas on the app that I’ve had on there for years.

 

Not quite figured out a way to make them work.

 

Some go through the process much quicker.

 

But there is a process that I’ve tweaked and refined over the years to make the whole ‘daily blog’ thing as easy as possible.

 

Because, if the process was any harder than it had to be, I probably wouldn’t have got to nearly 1,400 blogs published.

 

It’s not easy, but I’ve made it as easy as I can.

 

Like we all need to do with any long term process goal.

 

If our body composition goal (weight loss, toning, etc) is going to take, let’s say, six months…………

 

That’s 546 meals involved.

 

Double that for a year.

 

Thousands more to maintain for the rest of our lives.

 

They don’t all need to be ‘perfect’…………

 

But any time we allow this process to be harder than it has to be, we’re increasing the chances of it going wrong.

 

Always wait till Hungry O Clock before sorting what we’re going to eat…………..

 

And the easiest option often won’t be great.

 

Plan ahead a little………..

 

Have a system in place…………

 

Maybe every Sunday evening is looking at the coming week, deciding what we might need for some or all meals and doing a click and collect order for the next day…………..

 

Or planning where we’ll stop en-route that has good options…………..

 

Or where we can adjust elsewhere to average out for pre-planned binges, etc.

 

Whatever the case make getting meals that will lead you to your goals in most of the time as easy as possible………….

 

And you stand a better chance of doing the equivalent of 1,400 consecutive blogs………

 

And the results than brings.
