Longer term readers of these blogs may remember that I did a little series of blogs related to the passing of 1,000 and 1,500 blogs.

They’re here if you want to check them out (and who wouldn’t):

I had planned to do a similar thing when we hit the 2,000 mark.

I’d checked earlier in the year and thought that, according to the number of blogs on the site, we were due to get there a week or so before Christmas.

The other day I was driving back from taking my youngest to Tumble Tots and I was thinking of how to approach this.

I even considered a run-in based on the years running up to the year 2000.

I’d already got ideas for 1991, 1992 and 1999 when I went on the site to double check the date and work backwards and figure out when I might start this.

And I realised I’d made a mistake.

There were already over 2,050 blogs on there.

We must’ve passed the 2,000 mark in July.

—– Don’t you worry, you’re still getting the year based blogs I’d already thought of in the coming days 😂 —–

D’oh!

It doesn’t really matter though, does it?

Whilst it’s nice round number, it is just a number.

It’s tempting to think there’s this “right time” to do things.

To put things off until that theoretically perfect moment.

The thing is though, that moment often doesn’t arrive.

The stars never align.

Life never gets all that much easier.

If we delay making better food choices and / or (re)starting regular exercise until some point in the future……….

That point will probably never come.

Or, if it does, it’s tempting to push them back again for other, similar, reasons.

Much love,
